$1000 annual stipend pro-rated based upon hrs and date of hire
Function:
Under the direction of the PASS Coordinators and administration (Principal and Special Education), the PASS paraprofessional will provide direct support to students with behavior related disabilities. The paraprofessional will implement and support behavior plans and strategies, and will participate as a member of the PASS team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate an understanding and receptive attitude toward students of varied age groups, and varied disabilities
- Implement assigned behavioral interventions and/or methodologies
- Assist with inclusion of students into regular education classrooms
- Provide assistance with de-escalating student behaviors and administer one-to-one intensive behavior intervention to students
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and adults
- Collect data in regard to behavior in order to evaluate student performance and progress, the effectiveness of interventions, strategies and support, and contribute to future plans
- Assist the classroom teacher in all aspects of classroom instruction and behavior support
- Implement Behavior Strategic Plan/Behavior Intervention Plan and prescribed behavior strategies.
- Attend at all mandatory meetings and mandatory professional development (Behavior, PASS, CPI) required for this position
Requirements:
Associate’s Degree or pass paraprofessional skills testing prior to employment; High school diploma/equivalent;
Experience working with children with disabilities
Schedule:
6.5 Hours per day/ 32.5 hours per week.
Rate of Pay:
$15.60 Per hour
