$1000 annual stipend pro-rated based upon hrs and date of hire
Function:
Under the direction of the PASS Coordinators and administration (Principal and Special Education), the PASS paraprofessional will provide direct support to students with behavior-related disabilities. The paraprofessional will implement and support behavior plans and strategies, and will participate as a member of the PASS team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate an understanding and receptive attitude toward students of varied age groups, and varied disabilities
- Implement assigned behavioral interventions and/or methodologies
- Assist with the inclusion of students into regular education classrooms
- Assist with de-escalating student behaviors and administer one-to-one intensive behavior intervention to students
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and adults
- Collect data regarding behavior in order to evaluate student performance and progress, the effectiveness of interventions, strategies, and support, and contribute to future plans
- Assist the classroom teacher in all aspects of classroom instruction and behavior support
- Implement Behavior Strategic Plan/Behavior Intervention Plans and prescribed behavior strategies.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and mandatory professional development (Behavior, PASS, CPI) required for this position
Requirements:
Associate’s Degree or pass paraprofessional skills testing prior to employment; High school diploma/equivalent; Experience working with children with disabilities
Schedule:
7.5 Hours per day/ 37.5 hours per week.
Rate of Pay:
$15.60 Per hour |
