Function:                   

This position is split 50/50 between teaching general classroom music K-5 and providing instruction for all elementary orchestra classes. Duties include, but are not limited to, planning and coordinating a Winter music program for Roosevelt, collaborating for the All-City Music festivals, along with attending PLCs, planning, and being responsible for grades etc. The Orchestra responsibilities will include collaborating with the Middle School and High School orchestra director, plan and provide instruction for all 5th grade orchestra classes, attend all 4 elementary Winter concerts for Orchestra performances, and collaborate for All-City Strings Festival, provide grades for report cards etc.    Klamath Falls City Schools offers a comprehensive music program to our students, including vocal K-12, and instrumental music grades 5-12 both band and orchestra. 

Requirements:          

Hold or qualify for an Oregon teaching license through Teacher Standards and Practices Commission with an music endorsement and be considered highly qualified by the Oregon Department of Education.

SALARY:  2020-2021 Teacher Salary Schedule $42,046.12 to $78,045.48.

SCHEDULE:  August 2020 – June 2021; 190 day contract.
