Position:
Migrant Family Educational Field Trip Program Coordinator/Teacher
Up to 2 positions- Duties and hours may be divided upon mutual agreement and needs of candidates

Focus: Math and Reading Comprehension and Academic Concepts and Vocabulary in Context
Function:
To oversee and coordinate implementation of the Migrant Family Educational Field Trip Program
Family Educational Field Trips will occur once Saturday each month from January to April with a focus on building background knowledge in alignment with key academic vocabulary and concepts found in the adopted Language Arts, Math and Science curricula and state assessments.
Teacher Responsibilities:
* Plan for instruction or educational opportunities
* Provide differentiated instruction
* Create, administer, evaluate, and submit to district coordinator pre- and post-assessments aligned with the adopted curriculum and state assessments
* Up to eight hours of family contact time on days of fieldtrips
* 40 hours of preparation time (10 hours per field trip)
Coordinator Responsibilities:
* Coordinate all aspects of field trip opportunities including, but not limited to:
Family registrations, the activities and agenda for each day, meals and snacks for the day of the field trip, and transportation
* Ensure the health and safety of all participants for the duration of each activity
* Work closely with the District Migrant Coordinator to align instruction to the Service Delivery Plan as well as to ensure program implementation
* Keep time sheets for prep time
* Keep roll lists with registration information for all participants current on Google Doc
* Maintain up-to-date list of contact information
* Contact transportation department to arrange for transportation
* Manage dismissal issues- Assure that all families get home safely
* Maintain and encourage communication between KFCS and families
* Other duties as assigned
Schedule:
January 2018- May 2018
One Saturday per month
Requirements:
Hold or qualify for an Oregon teaching license through Teacher Standards and
Practices Commission and be considered highly qualified by the Oregon Department of Education.
Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred.
