Math and Reading Comprehension Homework Support
Function:
To oversee and coordinate implementation of the Migrant Family Homework Evenings Program as well as teach study habits and tutor students and families one-on-one.
Teacher Responsibilities:
* Plan for instruction on healthy study habits
* Provide differentiated tutoring for K-12
* 1.5 hours each week of instruction and academic support
* 20 hours of planning and preparation
* Create, administer, and collect entrance and exit tickets to monitor program effectiveness
Coordinator Responsibilities:
* Oversee other teachers working in the program
* Coordinate curriculum and instruction with other teachers for Migrant Callback
* Work closely with the District Migrant Coordinator to align instruction to the Service Delivery Plan
* Coordinate registration and sign-ins
* Arrange for coverages when teachers are absent
* Keep time sheets for all program staff
* Keep roll lists current on Google Doc
* Maintain up-to-date list of contact information
* Manage dismissal issues- Assure that all families get home safely
* Maintain and encourage communication between staff and administration as well as staff and parents
* Other duties as assigned
Schedule:
January 2018- May 2018
Thursday evening each week from 6:30PM-8:00PM
Days will be prorated to reflect actual start date.
Requirements:
Hold or qualify for an Oregon teaching license through Teacher Standards and
Practices Commission and be considered highly qualified by the Oregon Department of Education.
Bilingual Spanish and English, preferred
