Description | Construction Administrative Assistant Qualifications
- Construction job or office experience preferred
- Skilled in working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Gmail, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experienced in using and creating spreadsheets and budgeting procedures required
- Excellent proof reading skills required
- Process invoices for approval, for payments to contractors and material suppliers.
- Proficient in drafting reports, emails, letters, and other official document
- Managing reports, memos, invoices, and correspondence for internal and external purpose
- Answering telephone calls, emails, and letters.
- Scheduling, organizing, and coordinating meetings and conference calls
- Maintaining and ordering office supplies
Job Requirements
- Support construction manager in day-to-day clerical tasks such as proof reading, filing, copying, monitoring emails, printing plans and specifications, and general communication with contractors, architects, engineers, and school staff.
- Attend regular weekly construction office meetings to document agreements and action items in detail.
- Attend regular weekly construction job walks to document agreements and action items in detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to walk through an active construction site while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (construction hard hat, safety vest, closed toe shoes, full shoulder and leg coverings, hearing protection, etc.), and able to walk on uneven terrain; sometimes in extreme weather conditions.
- Preferred (but not required) ability to drive to and from construction office to District Warehouse, District office, and County office to deliver and receive packages and mail.
- Misc. cleaning duties to keep construction office clean and organized.
- Part-time, flexible days and hours (approximately 20 hours per week)
This is a temporary position. Upon completion of bond projects, this position will be eliminated. |
