PONDEROSA MIDDLE SCHOOL
Position: After School Academic Instructors - TEMPORARY – 3 positions
Function: 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) after school academic instructors to support supplemental instruction supports for 6th – 8th grade students in math, reading, writing and in enrichment Art, PE, and Science/STEM. Curriculum will be provided for all supports.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience working with and teaching students
Competent in math, writing and reading skills
Computer literacy skills required.
Experience in Art, PE/Health, and Science preferred.
Other duties as assigned.
The employee is expected to be dressed and groomed in a neat, clean and
appropriate professional manner for the assignment and work setting.
Salary: $13-13.39 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 12.5 hours per week (to include weekly PD staff meetings)
Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (3:15 pm – 5:30 pm)
Wednesdays (1:45 pm – 5:00 pm)
Anticipated Training weeks August 28th- September 15th
September 18th 2017 – May 25, 2018
Anticipated total of 148 instructional days
Days/times subject to change to allow for strategic flexible scheduling
Mandatory Professional Development Days (last working Wednesday of every month)
Mandatory Site Trainings and Meetings (Every Wednesday)
