Position:                    

Paraprofessional - Title 1

Function:                   

To assist the classroom teacher in math and reading interventions.

Responsibilities:        

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, Title I Specialist and Title I Supervisor assist students with instructional material;

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, Title I Specialist and Title I Supervisor, work with small groups of students to reinforce students’ classroom program;

Clerical and record keeping tasks necessary to support the Title I Program;

Assist with student supervision and duties as assigned;

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:          

Associates Degree or pass paraprofessional skills testing prior to employment; Experience working with children;

Clerical skills (Typing, filing, computer knowledge preferred).

The employee is expected to be dressed and groomed in a neat, clean and appropriate professional manner for the assignment and work setting.

Schedule:

3.5 hours per day/181 days per year (2017-18)

Salary:

$11.32 per hour
