FUNCTION:
Perform a variety of office duty tasks such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments, photocopying, filing, opening and distributing mail, maintaining records, and other duties necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the school. Establish and maintain a positive and effective working relationship with all school staff and the public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support building administrators in assistance with administrative functions;
- Make decisions independently in accordance with established policy;
- Responsible for student attendance, new student registrations, registration cards, student transfers, state reports, and all student records;
- Maintain and update all student immunization records and student health records;
- Assist certified and classified staff;
- Assist with student supervision in the office and throughout the school;
- Support the coordination of a variety of programs and activities as assigned (e.g. substitute teachers, meetings, in-service day activities, workshops, ceremonies, field trips, etc.);
- Administer approved medications and first aid to sick and/or injured children;
- Assist and/or orient volunteers and new site personnel regarding school and district practices;
- Keep student information confidential;
- Possess and exhibit an upbeat positive attitude;
- Develop positive working relationships with students, staff, families, and visitors;
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Three years clerical experience or combination of experience and training preferred.
SCHEDULE:
8 Hours Per Day/200 Days Per Year, Beginning 2017-18 School Year

$11.62, 2016-17 Salary Schedule
