Position:

AVID Excel ELSummer Bridge Teacher during the 21st CCLC Summer Program

Function:

* To teach the AVID Excel summer elective course for Longterm English Languge Learners 

* Participate in summer trainings for AVID Excel June 20-23 in Dallas, TX

* Work closely with the AVID District Director and EL Coordinator

* Coordinates the collection of data/evidence and uses AVID resources to monitor progress across grade levels

* Submits data to the AVID District Director and EL Coordinator

* Work with English Language Learners to provide support that empowers students to successfully complete their educational objectives

Requirements:

*  Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred

*  Fluent in oral and written communication in English

*  Excellent skills in interpersonal communications and trouble-shooting

*  Ability to work effectively with a variety of people 

*  Flexible thinker

*  Demonstrate understanding of issues confronting Long-term English Language Learners 

*  Must have proficienct computer word processing and data entry skills (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Excel, Word, etc.)

*  Hold an Oregon teaching license through TSPC with an ESOL endorsement

AVID Excel Summer Bridge will occur July 10-28.

Salary: $25.31per hour/June; $25.89 per hour/July *Anticipated

8:00AM-2:00 PM Monday-Friday). Plus 15 hours of preparation, planning, and professional development time at $25.31/hour for Summer Bridge.  Attend the AVID Summer Institute with the AVID Excel Core Teacher Team June 21-23 in Dallas, Texas
