Student Success Navigator - TEMPORARY – 2 positions
Function:
21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) and Migrant Education summer school program provides support that empowers students to successfully complete their educational objectives. Performs various activities in outreach and recruitment, admissions and registration, retention and student success, academic advising, and working with students in grades 9-12. Provides liaison between Klamath Community College, 21st CCLC Program, and KLC.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bilingual of English and Spanish Preferred. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must possess excellent written and oral skills
- Excellent skills in interpersonal communications and trouble-shooting.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of people under various circumstances.
- Demonstrable understanding of issues confronting all CCLC students.
- Ability to self direct and prioritize with minimal direction.
- Must have excellent computer word processing and data entry skills.
Salary:
$14.00 per hour, 4 hours a day/4 days a week
Schedule:
Anticipated 20 hours of pre-advising, admissions, enrollment, and marketing May 1-June 22, 2017.
June 26 to July 27, 2017 (Actual Summer School dates) attendance, EZ report data entry, post data collection, and summer school wrap-up.
Monday through Thursday (12 p.m. to 4 p.m.)
Hours: 16 hours per week (maximum)
- Requires an Associate Degree. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, in an area related to the duties of the position and/or a minimum of two years of recent successful experience working with students.
