FUNCTION:

To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation while resident teacher is absent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated;

Maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning;

Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior;

Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities;

Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with others;

Follow lesson plans provided by absent educator;

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

Valid Teaching Certificate issues by Teacher Standards and Practices Commission.
